Neetish Sarda's family business includes Jute products, as well as other items under the competent management of Neetish Sarda's father Ghanshyam Sarda. When asked about what inspired the decision to go after a new business model such as co-working spaces Neetish Sarda recalled his early days, in the days of learning and studying from both the USA as well as Singapore (he completed his studies at SIM Global Education, Singapore and holds a bachelor's diploma of Accounting & Finance from Purdue University, Indiana, USA) which was when exposure to new workspaces as well as higher levels of employee engagement led him to think about office space that he had in his home country of India. "My experiences of visiting traditional offices throughout India and observing features such as bad design, aesthetics, low motivation, lack of flexibility, and a dysfunctional environment reinforced my belief that the commercial office environment in India required a change," he says. The result was the introduction of Smartworks which is India's largest office space managed by Smartworks.
